Obituary of Fred J. Bedetto

Fred J. Bedetto, age 82, of Egg Harbor Township and formerly of Howard Beach NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at his sons home in New Egypt NJ. He was born in Bronx, NY to the late Frank and Ida Bedetto on August 6, 1936. At the age of 21, Fred enlisted in the Army National Guard and proudly served for six years. He also worked as a machinist foreman for the New York Times for 50 years before retirement and was well respected in the workplace.

Fred was a very generous and simple man. He was always donating to different organizations and was very giving of his time to others. Fred cared about the wellbeing of everyone else, always putting his family first. He was a very dedicated and reliable man; a good man. Fred was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by those who knew him.

Fred is predeceased by his parents Frank and Ida Bedetto (nee Prisco). He leaves behind his son, Christopher Bedetto and his wife Martha of New Egypt NJ; his daughter Donna Bedetto of Cartersville GA; his three grandchildren, Lukas Bedetto, Isabella Bedetto and Joshua Bedetto; his three brothers, Arnold Bedetto, Frank Bedetto and Daniel Bedetto; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 10AM to 12PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt NJ 08533. A funeral service will being at 12PM with interment to follow at the Assumption Cemetery in New Egypt.
