Joseph T. South, of Juliustown, passed away suddenly on November 4th, 2018 at home. He was born in Trenton, NJ on July 5, 1964 and resided in North Hanover, NJ until his family moved to Juliustown in 1974. Joe was a lowboy driver and mechanic for Herman Liedtka in Crosswicks, NJ for 32 years and most recently for Henkel & McCoy in Burlington, NJ. He was a member of the local union 469. Joe loved hunting, fixing up old cars with his boys, his Harley Davidson and living life to the fullest.
Joe is predeceased in death by his maternal grandparents Harry and Lillian Ervin; his paternal grandparents J Thomas and Anna South as well as his parents Joseph and Billie Jean South; and by his two father- in-laws, John Fenikore and Allen Johnson.
Joe is survived by Kimberly South and their children Travis South and fiancé Christina Simmons of Mount Holly, NJ and Shelby South of Juliustown, NJ; Valerie Bibus and their son Dale South of Crosswicks, NJ; grandsons Kai and Cameron; mother-in-law Lani Fenimore of Hague, NY; his sisters and brother-in-laws, Diane and Randy Keller of Locust Grove, VA, Cindy and Richie Mendoza of Eastampton, NJ; brother-in-laws Alan and Paul Johnson of IN; Uncle Benny South of Jacobstown, NJ; companion Robin Rowley; lifetime friends Rob Bordeaux and Chris Liedtka; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and the “boys” of Joes hill who all held a special place in his heart.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 5PM to 9PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533, and again on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 9AM to 12PM. A funeral service will begin at 12PM with interment to be held private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joe’s memory to Alcoholics Anonymous, General Service Office, Box 459, Grand Central Station, New York, NY 10163.
