Obituary of William S. Kaytes

William S. Kaytes, age 91, of Cookstown passed away Monday, March 25 at home.  Born in Philadelphia, he has been an area resident for over 50 years.

 

Bill served in the US Army.  He was co-owner of Bill and Irv’s Pizza in Wrightstown for over 30 years before retiring and also served on the New Hanover Township Committee and also served as the Deputy Mayor.  He also was active the the Cookstown Senior Citizens and enjoyed selling at the Columbus Farmers Market.  Bill never had time for hobbies, he was always happiest when he was working.

 

Bill was predeceased by his wife Dartha Kaytes in 2016.  He is surived by two sons, Matthew Kaytes and wife Michelle of Cookstown and Barry Kaytes of Presidential Lakes and a granddaughter, Alyssa Kaytes of Mt. Laurel. 

 

Calling hours for Bill will be held on Sunday, March 31 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 (www.TilghmanFH.com).  Funeral services will be on Monday morning, April 1 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown.
