Donald W. Russell Sr., age 61, longtime resident of Southampton before moving to Browns Mills, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees, NJ. He was born in Trenton on July 30, 1958 to Donald B. Russell and Edeltraud “Ellen” Hoffmann. Donald worked as the manager at NAPA Auto parts store in Mount Holly for 25 years but worked in the automotive industry for over 30 years. He was an avid coin collector and enjoyed collecting war memorabilia. Donald was a huge Philadelphia Eagles and Flyers fan. He loved his dog, Navajo more than anything. Donald coached the youth football team in Burlington Township, along with his children’s sports while growing up. He was a loving father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend that will be deeply missed. Donald is predeceased by his father Donald B. Russell. He leaves behind his daughter Christina Plunkett and husband Robert of Southampton; his son, Donald W. Russell Jr of Southampton; his mother Edeltraud “Ellen” Russell of Westampton; his two grandsons, Robbie and Chase Plunkett; and his two brothers, Steven Russell of Westampton, and John Russell of Westampton. Due to current restrictions, funeral services for Donald will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
