Patrick C. “Ricky” Malloy, age 57, of Cookstown passed away Friday, June 5 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Trenton, he was a lifetime area resident.
Ricky was raised on his family’s farm in Cookstown and remained on the farm until his last breath. He had worked for G&C Enterprises at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. Ricky was injured in a tragic accident in 1990 but never let that hold him back. He never wanted to be treated as if he had a disability, to his family he was “Superman”. Ricky was also a successful business owner who always supported his wife, four children and granddaughter.
Ricky loved all sports and was a lifelong New York Jets fan. He had a truelove for his Gamecocks Softball team. They won on county, state and nationwide levels.
Ricky is predeceased by his father, Patrick G. Malloy and by a son-in-law, James Ribavaro. He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Kelly Ann (Zendrosky) Malloy; three sons, Sean Patrick Malloy, Kevin Micheal Malloy and Thomas Riley Malloy; a daughter, Molly Ann Ribavaro; his mother, Norma (Ireland) Malloy; a granddaughter, Karolyn Ann Ribavaro and another grandchild due in August; a brother, Mark Malloy; two nieces, two nephews, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Ricky was loved and will be missed by all.
Due to current restrictions, funeral services and burial for Ricky will be private at the convenience of the family under the direction of Tilghman Funeral Home in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com). Services will be broadcast on Zoom. To watch please contact the family for instructions.
