Louis Nicholas DeLorenzo, born on July 27th, 1950, passed away peacefully on July 1st, at his Homestead Farm at the young age of 69. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, friend, adoring husband, but most of all a loving father to his seven children. Predeceased by his daughter Devon Ann Kelly, brother Ronald DeLorenzo, parents John and Margaret DeLorenzo, Mother-in-law and Father-in-law Aaron and Florence Haines and Brother-in-law Michael Rosenstock, Louis leaves behind his loving wife Lana of 52 years, his daughters Dina DeLorenzo of Shamokin, PA, Danielle Thorn and her husband George of Mansfield Township, NJ, Desiree DeLorenzo of Medford, NJ, Darrah Greene and her husband Ross of Mansfield Township, NJ, Dorian DeLorenzo of North Hanover Township, NJ and his son, Louis DeLorenzo, also of North Hanover Township, NJ. Louis has 19 grandchildren: Gia, Brandon, Karol, Glenn, Gilliana, Tanner, Nicolette, John, Chaz, Joelle, Bret, Vivienne, Lyla, Vera, Greta, Madelyn, Landon, Preston, Lillian, and one great granddaughter Melody. He is also survived by his sister Cindy Rosenstock and nephew Zachary, Brother-in law and Sister-in-law Larry and Kelly Haines, niece Kristina, and many cousins and close friends. Louis grew up in Ewing, NJ. At an early age, he worked with his father and brother at their family owned business, J & D Dismantling Company. In 1968, Louis married the love of his life Lana Haines. Moving to the country and raising his family on a farm was his lifelong dream. In 1983 that dream became a reality when he moved from Yardville to Jacobstown NJ, purchasing the Homestead Farm. There, Louis and his family raised cattle and harvested crops. In 1988, Louis and Lana established DeLorenzo Fuel Oil. Soon after, Louis would be elected to the North Hanover Township Committee, where he proudly served for the remainder of his life. He also served as Mayor of North Hanover for several terms, as well as Police Commissioner, Public Waste Commissioner and served on the Burlington County Farmland Preservation Board. In 2015, Louis finally retired, and his son took over the family businesses where his legacy will live on.
