William “Bill” L. Bird, Sr., age 70, of Wrightstown, passed away peacefully surrounded by those he loved on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at home. He was born in Trenton to Jean and the late Earl “Lester” Bird on August 2, 1950. Bill was a 1968 graduate of Northern Burlington High School and after graduating he enlisted into the New Jersey Air National Guard as a full-time technician and Civil Servant, where he proudly served and retired after 40 years of service. Bill worked as an Air Ground Equipment supervisor for several years. He was a lifetime member of the Wrightstown Volunteer Fire Company. Bill also enjoyed driving the tow truck for his son and helping out at the garage. He loved to spend time outdoors doing yardwork, gardening and farming. He got great enjoyment from sharing the vegetables from his garden with others. Bill loved taking trips to Lancaster and being around those he cared about. His greatest joy in life was being a family man. Nothing was more important than his family and his grandchildren and his sweet and loving dog Bella.
