Obituary of Kathleen Wickwire

Please share a memory of Kathleen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kathleen J. Wickwire, age 89, of Westampton and formerly of Browns Mills and Juliustown, passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at home. She was born in New Egypt to the late Albert and Verna Eggleston on November 7, 1931. Kathleen married Charles Wickwire in the early 50’s and the couple had two children. She worked as a barmaid for the Golden Moon for several years and then later went to work as a housekeeper at Howard Johnson. Kathleen was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary in Mount Holly and dedicated much of her time helping others within the community. She loved watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, doing crossword puzzles and listening to country music. Kathleen was strong willed, but loved nothing more than her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving woman who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Kathleen is predeceased by her parents, Albert and Verna Eggleston (nee Dunfee); her husband Charles Wickwire; her son, Frank Wickwire; and her brother, Harry Eggleston. She leaves behind her daughter, Joanne Lambes of Westampton; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, December 5, 2020 from 10AM to 12PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533. A funeral service will begin at 12PM with interment to follow at the Jacobstown Baptist Cemetery. Due to currently COVID-19 restrictions, facial coverings and social distancing are required with no more than 25 people inside at a time.
