Ron was born on March 11th, 1938 to Roy and Gladys McGonigal in Johnsonburg, PA. At the age of 16 (1954), Ron moved to NJ to work for Walker Gordon Farms, where he met his future wife June Libby. June told “love at first sight” stories of their relationship. The couple was married on November 10th, 1958. After 59 years of marriage to June, she passed away in on January, 27th, 2020 from a long battle with Dementia. Ron was there for her and took great care of her until her passing. He is now spending yet another Christmas with the love of his life in 2020.
Ron loved the outdoors and was a true Cowboy at heart- hunting, riding his horses, and just fiddling around the property were all things he did in years past. Ron attended and volunteered at Jobstown Community Bible Church as much as he could. He loved old county western movies, shows, music and western wear.
Ron leaves behind three siblings, Jane Bertles, Anita Rosiejka, and Warren McGonigal; Five Sons, Scott (Sherry), Todd (Sandy), Kenny (Stephanie), Ted, and Kurt McGonigal, 11 grandkids, 7 great-grandkids and numerous other family and friends.
Ron was a great guy and will truly be missed by many.
