Obituary of Carol A. Sager

Please share a memory of Carol to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Carol A. Sager, age 74, of Columbus, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at home after a short battle with Leukemia. She was born in Trenton, New Jersey to the late Edward and Harriet Stanhope (nee Grant) on March 6, 1946. After graduating from Allentown High School, Carol married the love of her life, Kenneth D. Sager on August 31, 1963, and the couple had two children. Carol and Kenny had a cherished life and love together than not many couples share these days. She worked as a bus driver for Northern Burlington School District for over 30 years until her retirement. She loved to share her crazy experiences and funny stories from all those years of driving. Carol enjoyed traveling across the country, sightseeing along the way. A highlight vacation was to Hawaii with Lisa, Donny, and Dakota and another to Disney World with Darren, Kris, Maddy, and Kylie. Carol was an avid camper throughout her life and eventually ended up with a seasonal site in PA where she and Kenny had many good times with their camping friends. Carol loved nothing more than to be with her family and especially her grandchildren who were the light of her life. Carol was a fun-loving wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Carol’s motto for life was “it is what it is!” Carol was predeceased by her parents and by her sister, Sandra Coulbourn. She leaves behind her adored husband, Kenneth Sager of Columbus; her son, Darren Sager and wife Kristine of Burlington; their daughters Maddy and Kylie, her daughter Lisa Blaese and husband Donny of Sandpoint, Idaho and their son Dakota. Services for Carol are being held privately at the convenience of the family at this time. A Life Celebration is going to be held at a later date. Please check back for updated service dates and times. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carol’s memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Samaritan Hospice, 3906 Church Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054-1108.
