She was an amazing woman. I was blessed to be her Uber (before Uber existed) driver for her chemo treatments. Even in the midst of all that she had such a great attitude and will to fight. I know my younger son Jonah hung out with Liam at her home. He adopted her as an extra grandma, calling her Gram Gram. She was a blessing to everyone she met. Looking forward to the day we will meet again

I loved Marilou's beautiful spirit so much! She was so friendly and caring, and zesty while she was at it. We first met when she was new to FBC and instead of me introducing myself to her, she introduced herself, and wanted to know the names of all my children. She would rehearse their names each Sunday. One Sunday shortly after that there were donuts left after the Sunday School hour and Marilou offered them to my kids to take home. They were delighted! Thereafter, she was named the "donut lady", and they eagerly sought her out. I was so blessed to get to know Marilou even more as the years went by and am proud to call her my friend. She truly cared for me, hung out with me, did bible studies with me, supported me in whatever I did, and shared her life with me. I will miss her so much! Judi Worgess

I am sorry for your loss. She made me so welcome at church when I first arrived while stationed at Ft Dix 2010-2012. As you said she gave her all to everyone. It is with a heavy heart and tears in my eyes and memories flood my soul about Marilou. We met over 35 years ago at Church .. I had just become a Born Again Believer and Bill and Marilou led Bible Studies at our house. I knew then that she was full of light and grace and was eager to teach me the precepts of God and to lead me in the direction I should walk. She was forthright and Honest ( she didn’t hold back Truth of any kind) probably why we got along so well Through the yrs we had numerous talks about life family and her Wisdom was always well received. Bill was Always ready and willing to teach or talk about whatever concerned you. He is a Strong Man of God and walks the walk as well as Marilou did. Marilou was generous with her life and had enough Love to go around. I will miss our lunches and the Joy and Gift of her being in my life. I love you!!! Thank You for Giving to the Lord I am a life that was Changed. See you soon

I remember the first time I met Marilou. It was over 30 years ago at a church picnic. I had three children 3 years old and under. My twins were in a play pen and she and her friend Leah started talking to me and playing with my children. They were so nice and so interested in getting to know us. I was a young mother who had zero free time. My husband ran up and said he was going to go play softball and Marilou looked at me and said go play we’ll watch your kids. I remember I didn’t hardly hesitate it was like “thanks see ya”” and off I went. Maybe I wouldn’t recommend it but it worked out great for me. We were friends from then on. She has been a part of my family’s life ever since. Too many good memories to count and through that friendship I got to know her family. It’s been a huge blessing and it all started with her being the generous loving woman she was. She will be greatly missed but the lives she touched and the memories she’s made will live on. What a legacy.
