Patrick D. Pecora, age 62, of New Egypt passed away on Monday, February 10 at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden. Born and raised in Bayonne, he moved to Keansburg 23 years ago. Patrick worked for AT&T as a computer programmer for 20 years before retiring. While living in Keansburg, Patrick was politically active, serving as Councilman for the Borough of Keansburg. He was also a member of the Monmouth County Democratic Executive Committee and served as the 1st District Leader; a past chairman and member of the Keansburg Recreation Board, Keansburg Youth Association Baseball Coach, a member of the Save the Bay Committee and the Clean Ocean Action Committee. Patrick also co-chaired the Keansburg Neighborhood Watch Program. After moving to New Egypt 7 years ago, he worked as a substitute teacher for the Chesterfield school district. Patrick is survived by his wife Linda of 32 years, and his sons, Keith and Zachary. The family will receive friends on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 from 4-7pm at Tilghman Funeral Home (www.tilghmanfh.com) 52 Main Street New Egypt, NJ 08533; followed by a funeral service at 7pm in the funeral home.
