Patricia J. McGinnis, age 76, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born and raised in Mt. Clemens, MI, she had 5 brothers and 5 sisters. She moved east in 1959 and settled in New Egypt, NJ in 1979. Patricia is survived by her husband of 54 years, Erwin J. McGinnis, a daughter and son-in-law Cheryl and Gene Wilson, also of New Egypt, 3 sons and 2 daughter-in-laws, Erwin J. "Butch" McGinnis Jr. of North Hanover, NJ, Michael and Erika McGinnis of Allentown, NJ, and Jeffrey and Deanna McGinnis of Eastampton, NJ, and 6 grandchildren, Peter, Sean, Angel, Matthew, Daniel, and Patrick. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Marsack and her brother, Robert Reetz, both of Mt. Clemens, MI. She was a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved to read, bake, cook, watch ice hockey, and spend as much time as possible with her family. She enjoyed playing games with her grandchildren, especially cards. She always gave selflessly and helped anyone in any way she could. A Mass of Christian Burial for Patricia will take place on Saturday, April 5 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Assumption Chapel, 76 Evergreen Road in New Egypt with burial to follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Friday evening, April 4 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and again on Saturday morning from 8:45 to 9:45 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 (www.tilghmanfh.com), with a prayer service on Friday evening at 8:00 PM.
