Obituary of Carmine J. Limone

Carmine Jantausch Limone, age 70, of New Egypt, passed away with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at home. Carmine was born in New Brunswick to the late Carmine Limone and Lorraine Jantausch. When he graduated from high school, he joined the US Navy and served in Vietnam on the USS Okinawa. He then returned to school and received his degree in Communication from Emerson College in Boston and continued on to get his PhD in Education Administration. Carmine worked and retired from the Department of Human Services, Office of Education in 2003. He also owned his own construction company, Prodigy Homes and built the first modular home in the City of Trenton in 1985. Carmine also had a small role in the HBO Movie “Merlin”. In his younger years Carmine enjoyed traveling to Europe, Austria and many other places. He also liked to spend his time gardening, watching John Wayne movies and spending time with his family. He was a dependable, intelligent, strong and helpful individual and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Carmine leaves behind his wife Sabine Limone; his son Michael Limone; his uncle Robert Jantausch; his cousins, Leo, Libby, Janie, Christine, Jo Ann, Henry, George, Russell, Bernie and Blanche (SiSi); his godchildren, Richie, Kim and Carlo; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Josef and Hilde Steinlechner and special friends, Ernst Wegschaidler, Dan Short, Jose Cancel, Dave Maxwell, Jimmy O’Donnell, Jennie Batka and Joey Merola.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main St., New Egypt NJ 08533 (tilghmanfh.com) and again on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 21 at the Church of the Assumption, 28 Monmouth Road (Rt. 537), Wrightstown NJ 08562. Burial will follow at the church cemetery on Evergreen Road in New Egypt. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carmine’s memory to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
