Obituary of Sarah A. Kosciolek

Sarah “Sally” A. Kosciolek (nee Bilancia), age 92, of Cream Ridge passed away peacefully on Monday, December 19, 2016 at home. She was born in Newark to the late Louis and Carmela Bilancia. Sally married John in 1951 and they had 2 children. She stayed at home to care for her girls. Sally was a very active woman serving as the Treasurer for the New Egypt Fire Co. Auxiliary and a member of the New Egypt VFW #599 before their merger with the Cookstown VFW #6590. She was also involved with the New Egypt Elk Mates, the New Egypt American Legion and Deborah Hospital. Sally was also a parishioner of the Church of the Assumption. She was an easy going and caring person and loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sally was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed.
Sally was predeceased by her parents, her husband John Kosciolek and her 6 siblings; Gloria Moeller, Grace Favata, Leo Bilancia, Victor Bilancia, Philip Bilancia and Louis Bilancia Jr. She leaves behind her 2 daughters, Sharon Beam and her husband Charles of New Egypt NJ, Kathryn Fennimore and her husband William of California MD; 4 grandchildren, Kelly Ann MacInnes and her husband David of Jackson NJ, Ashley Crisson and her husband Jason of Jackson NJ, Kristen Miller and her husband Timothy of Kearny NJ and Stacey Gorman and her husband Kieran of Wall Township NJ; 5 great-grandchildren, David MacInnes, Madison MacInnes, Olivia MacInnes, Hailey Crisson and Taylor Crisson; 3 sister-in-laws, Gene Bilancia of Westfield NJ, Laura Bilancia of Loveland CO and Kay Bilancia of Port St. Lucie FL; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt NJ 08533. A Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of the Assumption, located at 28 Monmouth Rd (Rt. 537), Wrightstown NJ 08562 on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 10AM. Interment will follow at the Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Sally’s memory to the VNA, Hospice Development Dept., 80 Main Street, Suite 210, West Orange NJ 07052.
