Everett B. Murray, age 83, of New Egypt and formerly of Plainfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton. He was born in Port Antonio, Jamaica to the late Hawthorne and Agnes (nee Clarke) Murray. Everett served in the US Army during the Korean War. He later worked as an Operating Room Technician at Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainfield, NJ. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Everett was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Everett was predeceased by his parents. He leaves behind his daughter Hymena Oliver and her husband Jasper of New Egypt, NJ; three sons, Ralph Murray and his wife Robin, Ronald Murray and Keith Murray all of Neptune, NJ; two step-daughters, Mamie Pannell of Hampton, NJ and Juanita Abdullah and her husband Robert of Williamstown, NJ; eleven grandchildren and three (soon to be four) great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 for a chapel service at 11:00 AM at the Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, located at 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown NJ 08562. All services are under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home.
