June M. Palmer, age 75, of Beachwood and formerly of Port Shepstone, South Africa, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Bey Lea Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Toms River. She was born in Krugersdorp, South Africa on June 5, 1941 to the late James and Barbara Henderson. June was a homemaker and spent most of her life in South Africa until relocating to Beachwood in 2007. She enjoyed sewing and cooking and loved her sweets. June was an avid flea market shopper and would also frequent auction sales. She had a lively since of humor and was known as a prankster. June was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who will be deeply missed. June is predeceased by her parents and by her husband Patrick in September of 1998. She leaves behind her son Alan Palmer and his wife Carolynne of Port Shepstone, South Africa; her daughter Denise Channon and her husband Ralph of Beachwood, New Jersey; 4 grandchildren, Damien and his wife Margaret, Michelle, Christel and Ashley; her 3 sisters, Val Van Eck, Patricia Henderson and Linda Henderson all of South Africa; and her beloved pets, Little Bear, Cassie, Maverick, Mia and Bella.
