Obituary of Harvey Y. Gross
Harvey Yale Gross, age 88, of Irvington, NJ passed away Sunday, June 4 at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. Born in New York, NY he lived in Irvington for the past 9 years and formerly lived in Hackensack for many years.
Harvey was a self-employed writer. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean War. He was an avid photographer and was very interested in current events and politics. Harvey produced theater productions at the Officers Club at Fort Dix during his military service. He also produced a film that was shown at the New York State Pavilion at the 1964 World’s Fair in New York.
Harvey was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Beatrice (Markowitz) Gross. He is survived by a brother, Leonard Gross and wife Ellie of Jackson, NJ; a nephew, Ronnie Gross of North Bethesda, MD; a niece, Debbie Robey of Dayton, NJ, two great nieces; two great nephews and his faithful dog Lucky.
Graveside services for Harvey will be held on Wednesday, June 7 at 10:00 AM at the Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
