Obituary of Eleanor M. Doolittle

Eleanor M. Doolittle, age 78, formerly of Wrightstown, died Saturday, August 11 at Virtua Health & Rehab in Mt. Holly. Born in Westchester County, NY, she had been a resident of Wrightstown and also Florida. Eleanor had been employed as a waitress at Tootie?s Restaurant in Cookstown and also as a cashier for the New Egypt IGA Supermarket. Wife of the late Richard H. Doolittle, Sr., she is survived by nine children; June Elizabeth Winder of Wrightstown, Ruth A. DiLouie of Stroudsburg, PA, Richard H. Doolittle, Jr. of Browns Mills, Carol C. Bowker of Stroudsburg, PA, Dale Lee Doolittle and wife Edith of Phoenix, AZ, John C. Doolittle of Browns Mills, Clarence Douglas Doolittle of Browns Mills, Margaret L. Googins and husband Stanley of Swedesboro and Michael Raymond Doolittle of Florida; nineteen grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 16 at 10:30 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com). Burial will follow in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown. Calling hours will be on Wednesday evening, August 15 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
