Obituary of Michael A. Malloy

Michael A. Malloy, age 75, of Cookstown passed away Saturday, November 11 at home with his loving family by his side.  Born in Cookstown on the family farm, he lived most of his life there with a short time in Trenton.

Mike was employed as a building inspector and construction code official for New Hanover and Springfield Townships.  He enjoyed growing flowers on his farm and working on his tractors and farming equipment. But most of all Mike loved to spend time with his family.

He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Philomena Malloy; a son, Joseph F.X. Malloy and a brother, Patrick Malloy.  Mike is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Susan (nee Craig) Malloy; four children, Jennifer Zonnas and husband Chris of Venice, CA; Jessica Malloy of Venice, CA; James Malloy and wife Rachel of Jackson and John Malloy of Keyport; two grandchildren, Sebastian Zonnas and Fiona Zonnas; two brothers, Donal Malloy and wife Patricia of Cookstown and Neil “Terry” Malloy and wife Julie of Cookstown; a sister, Eileen Lustgarten of The Villages, FL and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mike will be held on Thursday, November 16, at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Assumption Chapel, 76 Evergreen Road in New Egypt with burial in Assumption Cemetery.  Calling hours will be on Wednesday evening, November 15 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 (www.TilghmanFH.com).
