Samuel Hopkins, age 70, of Wrightstown died Thursday, August 16 at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly. Born in Cookstown, he was a lifetime area resident. Sam was a retired Line Mechanic and Fork Lift Operator for Ocean Spray in Bordentown. He is survived by his wife, Irene (nee Nutt) Hopkins; six children, Barbara Hopkins and companion Jim Raines of Browns Mills, Bruce Hopkins and wife Lori of Missouri, Wanda Kaczor and husband Dave of Cookstown, John Hopkins and wife Denise of Browns Mills, Jackie Hopkins of Cookstown and Kathy Butler and husband Paul of Browns Mills; twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 21 at 11:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with Rev. William Walker, officiating. Burial will follow in the Jacobstown Cemetery in Jacobstown. Calling hours will be on Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
