Obituary of Ellen D. Blanda

Please share a memory of Ellen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Ellen “Bunny” D. Blanda, age 62, of Jacobstown, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Lourdes Medical Center in Willingboro. She was born in Mt. Holly and was a lifelong resident of the Jacobstown area.

Bunny was a proud homemaker and lived for her family. She was known for her open heart, loving demeanor and caring personality. Most referred to her as their second Mom, as she was always an ear that listened and a heart that gave. Bunny was active in the New Egypt United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with her church family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Bunny is predeceased by her parents, Wallace and Martha Rockhill; her beloved husband Joseph Blanda; her half-brother Donnie Johnston and sister-in-law Maryann Enriquez.

She leaves behind her son, David Rockhill and girlfriend Catherine Tucci of Southampton; her adored grandson Austin Rockhill; her brother Scott Rockhill of Atlantic Highlands; 3 brother-in-law’s, Tony Blanda and wife Doris of New Egypt, John Blanda and wife Barbara of New Egypt and Bill Blanda and wife Gale of Jacobstown; 2 sister-in-law’s, Rose Marshall and husband Jack of New Egypt and Jeannie Sayles of Trenton; along with and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. The family would like to thank Bunny’s devoted friends Margie Diblin Inteso and husband Tony for their constant visitation and positivity and Laura Blanda for all her medical guidance and care.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 6PM to 8PM and again on Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 10AM to 11AM at Atkinson Hall at the New Egypt United Methodist Church.
