MaryLou Moore, age 52, of Pemberton, passed away peacefully with her sister by her side, after a long battle with MS on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Aspen Hills Healthcare Center in Pemberton. She was born on July 5, 1966 in Newton NJ. MaryLou was very active in playing sports and was a 1984 graduate of Northern Burlington High School. MaryLou later worked as a Preschool Teacher Aide for the Timothy Christian Academy in Mt. Holly. She loved being around children and especially adored her nephews. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Holly and liked to spend her time at church and with her church family. MaryLou was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend who will be deeply missed.
MaryLou is predeceased by her father Myron Moore and by her step-father Arthur Taylor, Jr.
She leaves behind her devoted and beloved mother, Clara Taylor of Southampton NJ; her sister Sheila Schmidt and former brother-in-law Rudy Schmidt, both of Florence NJ; her nephews Nicholas, Adam and Michael Schmidt, all of Florence NJ; her step-sisters, Diane Petroni and husband Terry of Columbus NJ and Lorraine Spooner and husband Mac of Mechanicville NY; her uncle William Cortright and wife Bonnie of Winston-Salem NC; aunts Ellen VanDuren of Star City AR and Diana Cortright and wife Kathy Dorsey of Hudson FL; along with several cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 3PM for a graveside service at the Columbus Cemetery, located on Cherry Lane, Columbus NJ. All arrangements are under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home, New Egypt NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in MaryLou’s memory to either Serenity Hospice, 52 Georgetown Road, Bordentown, NJ 08505 or to the National MS Society, P.O. Box 4527, New York, NY 10163.
