Obituary of Frank D. Hurley, Sr.

Frank D. Hurley, Sr., age 70, of New Egypt, passed away with his family by his side on Friday, July 20, 2018 at home. He was born in Allentown on September 5, 1947 to the late William E. and Margaret Hurley. Frank grew up in Jackson and enlisted in the US Army in 1968. Frank later worked as a Wildlife Control Representative for the State of New Jersey, in which he retired from in 2003. He loved to be outdoors, and was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper. He also enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. Frank was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather who will be deeply missed.

Frank is predeceased by his father, William E. Hurley, Sr. and his mother Margaret Hurley (nee Emery). He leaves behind is beloved wife of 49 years, Diane Hurley (nee Carter) of New Egypt; his three children, Frank D. Hurley, Jr. and wife Dulce of Cream Ridge, James C. Hurley and wife Joanne of Woodsville NH, and Erin R. Ent and husband Kenneth of New Egypt; his five siblings, William E. Hurley, Jr.,  Harry Hurley and wife Nancy; Dixie Eden, Zanetta Harrington and husband Joe and Cheryl Springett and husband Rick; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service for Frank will be held on Saturday, August 11 at 11:00 AM at the Emley’s Hill United Methodist Church, 69 Emley’s Hill Road, Cream Ridge, NJ 08514. All arrangements are under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home, New Egypt.
