I worked with Maria since September on a project to roll out pump integration with our electronic medical record. I'm so sorry I was unable to meet her in person, as she was too ill to travel. In the short time I knew her via phone and in meetings, she was professional, skilled and always willing to assist and remain engaged, even when she did not feel well. She clearly knew her stuff, and her team loved her. We will keep Maria's family, friends and work team in our prayers.

I’ll always remember the times spent over the Caiafa’s house! One of my favorite memories is when Melly and her parents had a cooking party for our swim team at their house. So fun! (Not to mention, they always made us the best food to eat!) She was always so kind and generous. She was like another mom for all of Melly’s friends and teammates. Makes my heart hurt knowing she’s no longer with us.

I had the pleasure of working with Maria for the past 14 years, and was fortunate to have her join my team in most recent years. We worked remotely and after a couple years finally met face-to-face. She was as energetic in person as over the phone and her smile was warm and kind. Maria was a great nurse and nurse advocate with an incredible work ethic. She spoke of her family often, especially about cookie making and visiting the beach! I am deeply saddened by her loss but am immensely grateful to have known Maria. She will be missed greatly. I worked with Maria for almost 11 years. She was one of the first people I met when I started with BD and she played a major part in my development and growth as a project manager and as a person. She encouraged me to obtain my Project Manager certification and went a step further to share her notes and class material to help me through the process. She was one of the first persons I called to say "I passed" the exam. She carried so much love for others. She was very selfless and always thinking of others. Her customers adored her and the BD family will miss her dearly. I am praying for the family through this difficult time. Until we meet again, my friend. With Love, Melissa Rolle.

I've had the pleasure of working with Maria for over 12 years. I first met her in Greenville, SC on my very first assignment and she was gracious and welcoming. Over the years, she has been an incredible resource and I recently found myself working with her again as my teammate on the Field Trainer team. I marvel at how she managed to continue working and traveling throughout her illness but I know it helped her to focus on something other than her physical ailments. She will be truly missed at BD.
