Donald C. Conklin Jr - Oct. 7, 1955 – Feb. 2, 2020 It is with deep sadness that we announce the death Donald C. Conklin Jr., of Woodbury, New Jersey. Beloved son, brother and loving uncle, who passed away February 2, 2020, while a patient at the Cooper Heart Hospital in Camden New Jersey. He was born on October 7th 1955 at the US Army Hospital at Fort Dix New Jersey, only son of Donald and Gisela Conklin. Along with his parents he is survived by his only sister Deidre Simon and her husband Patrick, of Waterloo, Iowa. He was loving uncle to two nephews, Patrick Simon Jr (Tracey), Joshua Simon (Emily), (Lauren deceased), all of Waterloo, Iowa. Two nieces, Kristin Goedken (Doug) of Petersburg, Iowa and Heidi Kuecker (Justin) of Waterloo, Ia. Four Grand Nieces, Danielle and Hailey Simon and Kelsie and Chloe Goedken. Six Grand Nephews, Derek and Chase Goedken, Kyle and Wyatt Kuecker, and Ryan and Jonathan Simon. He was preceded in death by Lauren (Liebsher) Simon, wife of Joshua, and a Grand Nephew, Jacob Simon son of Joshua and Lauren. Mr. Conklin served in the U.S. Air Force from 1974-1978, then continued on in the Air Force Reserves, attaining the rank of Master Sergeant. while working as a civil servant on Fort Dix, He recently retired after 41 years as a public servant there. Interment services will be held on Friday, February 28 at 1:30pm in the the Chapel at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
