Obituary of Samuel S. Marshall

Samuel S.“Sam” Marshall, age 80, longtime resident of Wrightstown, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at home. He was born in Curwensville, Pennsylvania to the late George C. and A. Irene (Hooven) Marshall. Sam retired after 30 years as a Custodian from the New Hanover Township School, and before that he worked as a Forman for the Utility Line Construction Company. He enjoyed fishing, was a Councilman for Wrightstown Borough, and he enjoyed tinkering on home projects and could build or fix anything. Sam was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed.
Sam is predeceased by his parents, his brother G. Carl Marshall, and sister Jennie Lee Searle.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 57 years Florence (Cathcart) Marshall of Wrightstown; his three daughters, Tammy Branson and husband Terry of Bordentown, Cindy Helbig and Daniel Harrell of Virginia Beach, and Jennifer Harrison and husband James of Virginia Beach; his grandchildren and their spouses, Brandon Helbig, Ryan and Christina Branson, Marissa and Brett Shepherd, and Ruth and Margaret Harrison; and his four great-grandchildren, Molly Seibert, Jacob and Cooper Shepherd, and Mila Branson.
Due to the Coronavirus, funeral services will be held privately for the convenience of the family. All arrangements are under the direction the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533.
