Phyllis A. Olah, age 83, of North Hanover, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Laurel Brook Healthcare Center in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. She was born in Trenton, New Jersey to the late William and Helen Croshaw on August 8, 1937. Phyllis graduated from Pemberton High School in 1955. In 1958 she married the love of her life, Art Olah and the couple had three children. Phyllis worked as a bookkeeper for Agway for several years before retiring 23 years ago. Phyllis had always stayed active. She was a devoted member of the Chesterfield Baptist Church and was involved with the bible study groups and the book group. She was an avid reader, often reading two or more books at once. Phyllis was also a part of the “Happy Hookers” and a few other crochet groups. She was very talented and loved to give back. She was not only a mentor to others who wanted to learn, but donated most of her creations to hospitals, children’s organizations and hospice groups. A big part of Phyllis’ life was being involved with the Deborah Heart and Lung Foundation. She spent countless hours volunteering at the gift shop and various other events there. She lived to give to others. Phyllis was also involved with the North Hanover Seniors Group and a volunteer at the Smithville Mansion. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching classic gameshows, her crochet projects and embroidery, her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers, NASCAR, motorcycles, country music and scratch off lottery tickets. Amongst everything else, Phyllis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Phyllis is predeceased by her parents, William and Helen Croshaw (nee Borden); her brother, Kinsley Croshaw; her adored husband Arpad “Art” Olah; and by her granddaughter, Aimee Olah. She leaves behind her three children, Judi McMillan and her husband Ron of Fredericksburg, VA, David Olah and his significant other Angel Pizzoferrato of Browns Mills, NJ and Diane Miller and her husband Stephen of Mount Holly, NJ. She also leaves her five grandchildren, Corey, David, Bryan, Scott and Sean; her three (soon to be four) great-grandchildren, Ryder, Finn and Max; her sister, Janet Dunham and her husband Bill; her brother Lowell Croshaw and his wife Debra; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
