Esther N. Freck, age 86, of New Egypt, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021 at home. She was born in Camden, New Jersey to the late Forrest and Esther Lane on June 6, 1934. After high school, Esther continued her education at Temple University in Philadelphia. Esther worked at Great Adventure for twelve years before taking a position as a Supply Tech at Fort Dix. In 1954 she met and later married Wilbur H. “Bud” Freck and the couple had three children. Esther always enjoyed keeping busy. She was a member of the New Egypt Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and an active member of the New Egypt Seniors Group. Esther was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed.
Esther is predeceased by her parents; by her beloved husband Wilbur H. Freck; and by her brothers, Forrest Lane, Bill Lane and Richard Lane. She leaves behind her son, Henry Freck and his significant other Cindy Beatty of New Egypt, New Jersey; her two daughters, Diana Palmer of Corpus Christi, Texas and Dawn Adamson and her husband Robert of West Fork, Arkansas; her four grandchildren, Andrea Palmer, Jason Palmer, Sean Duaine and Casey Thomas; her two (soon-to-be three) great-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 1PM to 3PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt, New Jersey 08533. A funeral service will begin at 3PM. Esther will be laid to rest with her husband at the Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, located at 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, New Jersey 08562, on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 12:30PM. For those planning to attend the burial services, please arrive at the cemetery no later than 12:15PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Esther’s memory to either the Deborah Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 820 Browns Mills, NJ 08015 or to the American Legion – McKaig – Test – Mullen Post 455, 2 Meadowbrook Lane, New Egypt, NJ 08533. Due to COVID-19, facial coverings and social distancing are required.
