Elsie M. Stiebritz, age 77, of Jacobstown passed away Wednesday, March 17 at RWJ University Hospital in Hamilton. Born in Philadelphia to the late Robert and Bessie (Myers) Weisshaupt, she was an area resident since 1964. Elsie had worked as a crossing guard for North Hanover Twp. Schools and she worked for a long time for Robson Farms in their farm market. She enjoyed doing cross stitch and word search puzzles, but most of all Elsie loved taking care of her family especially her grandchildren. Elsie was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Walter R. Stiebritz, Jr.; a son, William Stiebritz and a sister, Barbara Weisshaupt. She is survived by two sons, Walter Stiebritz, III. of Jacobstown and Robert Stiebritz of Hamilton; two grandsons, Noah Stiebritz of Hamilton and Daniel Palmeri of Nazareth, PA; a brother, Robert Weisshaupt and wife Joyce of Browns Mills and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Elsie will be held on Saturday, March 27 at 10:00 AM at the Jacobstown Baptist Cemetery, 49 Jacobstown-Arneytown Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Elsie’s memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116 or to the Deborah Hospital Foundation, 212 Trenton Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015. Arrangements are under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home in New Egypt.
