Obituary of David L. Hance

David L. Hance, age 62, of New Egypt passed away Saturday May 1 at Deborah Hospital in Browns Mills. Born in Trenton to the late Leon and Marion (Buckalew) Hance, he was a lifetime New Egypt resident.
Dave was a 1976 graduate of Allentown High School. He was a member of the New Egypt United Methodist Church. Dave enjoyed drawing, working on jigsaw puzzles, watching TV especially the Three Stooges and doing yardwork. He had a strong interest in history and his family’s genealogy.
Dave was predeceased by his parents, Leon and Marion Hance; his grandparents, Marvin and Lottie Buckalew; his great grandmother, Carrie Bell; his aunts, Carolyn Bishop and Shirley Savage and his sister-in-law, Karen Hance. He is survived by his brother, Roger Hance of New Egypt; his aunt and uncle, Maude and Hilton Buckalew of New Egypt and many cousins and friends including special friends Mike Novak, Carol Ann Miller and Bill Blanda.
Funeral services for Dave will be held on Saturday, May 8 at 12:00 Noon at New Egypt United Methodist Church – Atkinson Hall, 9 Fort Avenue in New Egypt with burial to follow in Jacobstown Cemetery on Schoolhouse Road in Jacobstown. Calling hours will be on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until Noon at Atkinson Hall. Due to COVID-19 social distancing and facial coverings are required.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dave’s memory can be made to the family to help offset funeral and other costs.
