Obituary of Virginia Byrne

Please share a memory of Virginia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Virginia "Ginger" McLaughlin Byrne, 66, of Browns Mills passed away suddenly May 6th at home. Her unexpected passing leaves an emptiness with friends, family and her collection of "furry grandchildren," as she affectionately referred to the family pets. Ginger was pre-deceased by her father Lester McLaughlin and mother Mary McLaughlin. She is also pre-deceased by her ex-husband, Warren "Chuck" Byrne. The absolute love of her life, Anthony Virili was able to meet her with open arms at the gates of heaven, and that has given much comfort to those left behind. We chuckle at the thought of those two causing trouble in the ever-after. Ginger is survived by her two children: Jeffrey Byrne of Browns Mills and Julie Lucas and fiance John Salvaggio of Lumberton. Many neighborhood kids considered her "Mom," and she affectionately took them under her wing. Her grandson Nate Lucas was her world and there was no contesting he was her favorite above all else. She also spoiled her favorite canines: Blur, Blue, Boonefish and Rotor. There was never enough treats or toys in this world, as far as she was concerned. Ginger came from a large family, she was one of eight children. She is survived by her brothers and sisters: Agnes Carbone of Hightstown, Lester McLaughlin Jr. of Hightstown, Joan Howe of Lehigh Acres, Florida, Eleanor Robotin of Browns Mills, Edward McLaughlin of Hightstown, DeeDee Whitson of Allen, OK, and Charles McLaughlin of Hamilton, NJ. She had many nieces and nephews. Ginger loved trips to the casino with her friend Linda Hopkins and BINGO every chance she could get, but mostly she loved spending time with her grandson. Calling hours for Ginger are Friday, May 14th from 5 to 7pm at the Tilghman Funeral Home located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt New Jersey 08533. Food and refreshments to follow.
