Obituary of Arminia M. Mota

Arminia M. “Minnie” Mota, age 90, of Springfield Township passed away Thursday, June 10 at home. Born in Newark, NJ to the late Manuel and Maria (Rodriquez) Melon, she was a longtime resident of Springfield Twp.
Minnie was predeceased by her parents, her siblings Emanuel, Joseph,and Frank, her beloved husband, John L. Mota and her dog Ginger. She is survived by her five children, John L. Mota, Jr. and wife Laura of Easley, South Carolina, Mary Ann DeSantis and husband Anthony of Belleville, NJ, Deborah Diaz Granados of Delaware, LeeRobert Mota and wife Becky of Phoenix, AZ and David Mota of Springfield Twp.; she had 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; a very much loved sister-in-law, Elsie Melon of Belleville, NJ and her sons Joseph, Emanuel Jr., Michael, and Glen; and several nieces and nephews.
Minnie was a true “Military Wife”, taking care of her husband and children during his military career. She was a parishioner at St. Andrew’s Church in Jobstown. Minnie loved to travel with her husband, enjoyed working with her garden and flowers and was an avid Notre Dame Football fan. But most of all her family was everything to her especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Minnie will be held on Tuesday, June 22 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Assumption – St. Isidore the Farmer Parish, 28 Monmouth Road (Route 537), Wrightstown, NJ 08562 with burial to follow with her beloved husband at the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 21 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533.
Due to cemetery restrictions, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Minnie’s memory can be made to either St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) or the National Kidney Foundation (www.kidney.org).
