Margaretha V. Eltink, age 87, longtime resident of Ridge, Long Island, NY, Cream Ridge and New Egypt, NJ passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Bartley Healthcare Center in Jackson. She was born on January 30, 1934 in Valburg, Holland to the late Petrus Cornelius vanNoordenburg and Hendrina Jacoba Krijnen. Margaret emigrated by boat in 1956 from the Netherlands. She enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, keeping up with her yard. In her early years, she hunted with her children. Margaret loved to crochet, and knit. She always looked forward to all the family gatherings. Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed. Margaret is predeceased by her parents Petrus Cornelius vanNoordenburg and Hendriana Jacoba Krijnen; by her beloved husband Joseph T. Eltink, and her friend, Chester Collins. She leaves behind her three children, Maria Margaret Schmidt and partner Dominic dePrume, Peter Anton Eltink and wife Betty Jo, and Joseph Eltink Jr., and partner Jeanie Golden; her grandchildren, Carl Schmidt and wife Melissa, Eric Schmidt, and Shauna Eltink; her great-grandson, Aidan Brauer; her brother Henk vanNoordenburg; and her sister Trees Ouwerkerk and all her extended family in the Netherlands. Services for Margaret will be held privately at the convenience of the family. All arrangements are under the direction of Tilghman Funeral Home located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533.
