Sarah A. Lawrence, age 95, area resident of Browns Mills, formerly of New Egypt, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Medford Care Center in Medford. She was born on October 8, 1927 in Lakewood, NJ to the late Leon and Ester (nee Goff) Southard. Sarah was a house keeper for many years. She liked doing word puzzles, watching tv, and going to the shore. Sarah enjoyed listening to country western music. She loved spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren. Sarah was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend that will be deeply missed. Sarah is predeceased by her beloved husband, Walter H. Lawrence; her parents, Leon and Ester Goff; and her three sisters, Emily Powell, Edna Pittman, and Lillian Green. She leaves behind her daughter, Jennie Ridgway and husband Jim of Browns Mills; her two grandchildren, John Ridgway of Burlington and Jim Ridgway and wife Paige of Wrightstown; her six great-grandchildren; and her sister Frances Tyrrell of Browns Mills. Funeral Services for Sarah are being held privately at the convenience of the family. All arrangements are under the direction of Tilghman Funeral Home located in New Egypt, NJ.
