Uncle Chet was the favorite uncle for all of us. He was always so fun and funny I honestly don't ever remember him scolding me although, I'm sure he did. I have such fond memories of him lifting me up as a small child so I could touch the ceiling and always teasing. His super white legs in the summer and his speedo bathing suit. I remember one time my car got stuck in a huge puddle about 11pm and it was winter but all my mom had to do was call her brother and he was right there to help. He got my car out and I remember him dumping the water out of his infamous boots. Everyone just pictured them I'm sure. He even let my husband, Noah and I live with him for a short period when we moved back from Texas. He would get Noah on and off the bus. He really was the best, you could always count on him to help if he was able. I will miss him dearly. I will always smile when I think of him and his one liners like "you'll have that" or many others not appropriate for this forum. He will be forever in my heart and was definitely one of the elders in my life that helped make me who I am. I am extraordinarily sad to see him go but happy that he will with Aunt Betty.

Our remembrance of Chester (Chet) Pine
Chet was not only our neighbor, but he was a friend of our for over 35 years.
Chet was the first person we met when we moved into our house. We became friends with he and his wife Betty. We helped each other out as Chet was knowledgeable about many things. He helped us learn as we were young first-time homeowners. If we did not know how to fix something or needed a hand figuring something out, we would call Chet and he more than likely could help solve the problem or would have someone he knew guide us. We would reciprocate whenever possible and always remembered him with a home cooked meal or come over to one of our parties and enjoy himself. We would chat with him when he was either sitting on his front steps watching the town drive by, or he would be up on his deck. His famous words were, as he watched us work around the yard was, “I used to do that but I don’t do that anymore” We will remember Chet as a kind man always helpful when he could. He will be missed. Rest in peace.

We had a great life growing up going over to each of our families houses and all us kids playing with each other AND yes fighting too and family reunions and watching our parents with our Aunts and Uncles hanging out. I loved Uncle Chet's and Aunt Betty's farm house back in the day. Oh all the great memories when we were kids. I talked to him a few days before he passed. I'm so glad I got to tell him I love him before his journey. I'll miss him calling me brat. I'll never forget the day he gave my oldest daughter, on her first birthday, in her beautiful dress his infamous melted chocolate bar from his pocket (having been there half the day) like he would do to all of us when we were kids. I'll miss him. So glad we had our family reunion on Sept 11, 2020. It had been many years since I got to see him because we had moved out of NJ a long time ago. RIP Uncle Chet, kiss Aunt Betty for me too and good journey!

I will always remember my Uncle as loving man to all his family. He would do everything and anything that he could. I will always remember him to coming to my mom's house with a Hersey chocolate in his tshirts all melted and he would give them to us and mom would get so mad at him cuz after her having us all cleaned up we would be dirty of chocolate all over us. Lol! I will never forget that. I will miss my Uncle he was the best and one of a kind. Couldn't ask for a better Uncle. I love u Uncle Chet and u will b greatly missed! Rip now with Aunt Betty!
