Harvey Sharp, Jr., age 78, of Cookstown died Sunday, March 23 at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly. Born in Mount Holly, he was a lifetime area resident. Harvey was a retired custodian for the North Hanover Township Schools. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the VFW. Son of the late Harvey Sharp, Sr. and brother of the late Bertha Wilson, he is survived by his mother, Mary Sharp of Camden; a son, Glenn Sharp of Orlando, FL; a daughter, Debra Danner of Harrisburg, PA; two grandchildren, Justin Danner and Tom Danner III; a brother, Arnold Sharp of Camden; five sisters, Josephine Parker of Mt. Holly, Helen Robinson of Bordentown, Elsie Dodson of West Chester, PA, Florence Newkirk of Camden and Patricia Lowe of Lakewood; his former wife, Janet M. Goode of Harrisburg, PA and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 28 at 11:00 AM at the Southside Baptist Church, 673 Eayrestown Road in Lumberton. Calling hours will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be in the Jacobstown Baptist Cemetery in Jacobstown.
