Carolyn M. Nicholas (nee Wishart), age 77, of New Egypt, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills with her family around her. Carolyn (Dolly) had retired from Carter Wallace Inc. in Cranbury after being employed for 30 years. She worked for Monsanto in Yardville in Quality Control. Carolyn worked as a receptionist part-time for Ice Cap in Hamilton after retirement. She enjoyed motorcycle riding and belonged to Women on Wheels. Carolyn enjoyed reading and was a member of Plumsted Library and the Book Club. She enjoyed camping and going on cruises of lighthouses and belonged to NJ Lighthouse Society. Carolyn enjoyed history and was a member of the New Egypt Historical Society. She loved to paint, knit, crochet, and sew. She recently took in a calico cat, named Callie, who she loved to spoil. Carolyn is predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Paul E. Nicholas; her parents, Lucius and Marion (nee Nutt) Wishart; her brother and sister Lucius QC Wishart and Helen (nee Wishart) Helmuth She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Marie Miller and John Wilson of Wrightstown; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William A. and Kathy Nicholas of Iva, SC; nephews, Kyle (Karen) Priest, Jason (Maria) Priest, Randy (Melisa) Priest, Robert (Eva) Hutson, Lucius (Michele) Wishart, Jonathan (Kristen) Wishart, and Chris Wishart; one niece Susan Scott; many great nieces and nephews; and several extended family members. Funeral services for Carolyn will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 12 Noon at Tilghman Funeral Home located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 with interment to follow at BGWCD Veteran Memorial Cemetery located at 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 10 AM to 12 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carolyn’s memory can be made to your favorite charity.
