John R. Turner, age 88, resident of West Babylon, NY, formerly of New Egypt, passed away May 26, 2023 at Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, NY. He was born on July 21, 1934 in Pittsfield, MA to the late John and Elise (nee Carpenter) Turner. John worked as farm manager for Stanley Dancer Farms in New Egypt. John was an avid Boston Red Sox Fan, and loved spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend that will be deeply missed. John is predeceased by his parents, John and Elise Turner; and his five siblings, Leo, Marjorie, Gene, Joan, and Geraldine. He leaves behind his beloved wife Carolyn (nee Davis) Turner; his three sons, Peter Turner and wife Angie, Paul Turner and wife Emily, and John Turner and his fiance Michele; two grandchildren, Mellisa Revinski and husband Tom, and Kyle Turner and wife Kaitlin; four great-grandchildren, Luke, Henry, Scarlet, and Kieran John; and his sister Natalie Abbott. A funeral service for John will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 10 AM at Tilghman Funeral Home located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533 with inurnment to follow at Zion Cemetery located at 254 Lakewood Road, New Egypt, NJ 08533.
