Obituary of Daniel O. Burgos

Daniel O. Burgos, age 90, passed away Tuesday, December 26 at Samaritan Hospice in Mount Holly. Born in Humacao, Puerto Rico to the late Jaoquin and Juanna Burgos, he was a resident of Lumberton, NJ for the past 16 years and formerly of Browns Mills. Daniel was a retired Sergeant First Class with the US Army after serving 24 years. After his retirement from the military he worked as a security guard at Deborah Hospital in Browns Mills. Daniel was a parishioner at St. Ann’s Church in Browns Mills. He was a “Giver” who would always lend a hand wherever he could. Daniel was predeceased by his parents and his wife, Elsie Burgos. He is survived by four children, Daniel Burgos, Jr. of Browns Mills, Amabel Burgos of Hutto, TX, Joey Burgos of Hutto, TX and Donny Burgos of Knotts Island, NC; his grandchildren, Michaud Burgos, Lissette Burress, Kiana Burgos and Jared Burgos; a step-grandson, Carlos Quinones, Jr. and three great grandchildren, Ian, Jaden and Camille Burress. Graveside services with Military Honors for Daniel will be held on Tuesday, January 2 at 12:30 PM at the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Daniel's name to Saint Ann's Church located at 22 Trenton Road Browns Mills, NJ 08015 (https://www.stannschurch.org/) Arrangements are under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home in New Egypt, NJ.
