Chester “Bill” W. Foulks, age 89, longtime resident of Philadelphia, PA, formerly of Mt. Holly and New Egypt, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Samaritan Hospice in Mt. Holly. He was born on December 2, 1934 in New Egypt, NJ to Chester and Emma Foulks. Bill loved listening to country music and watching figure skating. He was a member of both the Country Music Association and the United States Figuring Skating Association. Bill was Past President of the Elfreth's Alley Association along with being Past President of GLOA Council. He enjoyed traveling with his dear friend Bob. Bill was a loving brother, uncle, and friend that will be deeply missed. Bill is predeceased by his parents, Chester and Emma (nee Maloney) Foulks; and by his siblings, Thelma E. Southard, Ivins “Lightening” Foulks, Earl “Sporty” Foulks, C. Russell “Mustard” Foulks, and Donald Foulks. He leaves behind his best friend, caregiver and companion, Bob Christophersen of Philadelphia; his sister, Shirley Fox of Mount Holly; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-grand nieces and nephews; and many friends. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation for Bill on Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 10 AM to 12 PM at Tilghman Funeral Home located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt, NJ 08533. A funeral service will begin at 12 PM at the funeral home with interment to follow at Upper Springfield Cemetery located at Highland Road, Jobstown, NJ 08041.
