Thomas J. Rogers, age 71, of Jacobstown died Friday, August 28 at his residence. Born in Rumson, NJ he was resident or Jacobstown for 13 years and formerly of Jackson. Tom was a ?Cold War? veteran of the US Navy serving from 1956 to 1960 on the USS Galveston. He was a retired security officer with the Earle Naval Weapons Station in Leonardo, NJ. Tom was pre-deceased by his parents Lester and Edna Rogers, a brother, Lester Rogers, a sister, Edna Rogers and a son, Barron M. Rogers. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Taylor) Rogers; a son, Vincent D. Rogers of Jacobstown; a daughter, Kimberley A. Rogers of Wall Twp. and a brother, Robert Rogers of Eatontown. Funeral and interment services will be private at the convenience of the family under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt.
