Harry R. Crain, age 70, of New Egypt died Saturday, January 16 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Trenton. Born in Trenton, he was a lifetime area resident. Harry was a self employed carpenter and had served in the Army National Guard Reserves. He was a member of the New Egypt Elks Lodge No. 2457 and was Past Exalted Ruler three times. Harry was also a member of the Sawmill Hunting Club in New Egypt. He was predeceased by a son, Drew Dancer Crain. Harry is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Michael Shanko of New Egypt, his former wife, Joan Crain of New Egypt; a brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Kay Crain of New Egypt; five grandchildren, Joshua, Ashley and Jesse Braskett and Michael and William Shanko; two nephews, Russell Crain and wife Shawna and Eugene Crain and two great nieces, Brinley and Naomi Crain. Funeral services for Harry will be held on Thursday, January 21 at 11:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com) with interment to follow in Emley?s Hill Cemetery in Cream Ridge. Calling hours will be on Wednesday evening, January 20 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home with Elks Services at 7:00 PM.
