Bruce L. Emery, age 62, of Picayune, MS died Sunday, January 17 at Highland Community Hospital in Picayune. Born in New Egypt, he was a resident of Mississippi and Louisiana for the past 25 years. Son of the late Leon Emery, Bruce is survived by a daughter, Lee Ann Emery of Browns Mills; three sons, Brandon Emery, Sterling Emery and Bruce Emery, Jr. all of Picayune; his mother, Marie Decker of New Egypt; two sisters, Linda Hoff of Cream Ridge and Betty Jane Hawkins of Pennsauken; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Slackter and Chloe Emery and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Bruce will be held on Saturday, January 30 at 11:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com) with Rev. Margaret Smyth officiating, with burial to follow in Jacobstown Cemetery in Jacobstown. Calling hours will be on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
