Joan Rader, age 88, of New Egypt died August 18 at Somerset Valley Rehab & Nursing Center in Bound Brook, NJ. Born in Gloucester, England, she was a resident of New Egypt for the past 70 years. Joan was a member of several area Senior Citizens groups and was a member of the Hornerstown Baptist Church. Wife of the late Leslie M. Rader, Joan is survived by three sisters, Margaret Scaler of Raritan, NJ and Grace Frith and Sylvia Greening both of England and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral services for Joan will be held on Monday, August 23 at 12:00 Noon at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with burial to follow in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown. Calling hours will be on Sunday evening, August 22 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Due to cemetery restrictions, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joan?s memory may be made to the Hornerstown Baptist Church, 13 Arneytown ? Hornerstown Road, Cream Ridge, NJ 08514.
