James D. Rosenberg, Sr., age 84, of Cream Ridge passed away Friday, December 17 at home. Born in Somerville, NJ, he was a lifelong area resident. Jim was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving during World War II in the South Pacific and the Philippine Islands from 1943-1945. Formerly employed as a police Sergeant for Princeton Township, Jim retired from Siemens Demag Delaval Turbomachinery in Trenton after 28 years. Son of the late David and Dora (nee Johnson) Rosenberg, he was also predeceased by five brothers, five sisters and a son-in-law. Jim is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joan (nee Fitzpatrick) Rosenberg. He was the beloved father of five children and their spouses; son James and Barbara Rosenberg of Tabernacle; daughters Ellen Greene of Port St. Lucie, FL, Eileen and Al Hutchinson of Yardville, Janice Snyder of Apex, NC and Laura and Jose Cancio of Hobe Sound, FL. He will be missed by his 10 grandchildren, Kyle Greene, Alex, Eric and Scott Hutchinson, Noah and Adam Snyder and James, Everett, Madalyn and Natalie Cancio. Calling hours from Jim will be held on Wednesday, December 22 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com). A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, December 23 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Assumption Chapel, 76 Evergreen Road in New Egypt with interment to follow at the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown.
