Obituary of Carol R. Whiteside

Carol R. Whiteside, age 75, of Pemberton, NJ passed away on Friday, August 10 at Medford Care Center in Medford, NJ. Born in Warsaw, NY she lived in Pemberton for 4 ½ years and formerly of Vineland and Riverdale, NJ and also many towns throughout the US. Carol was a graduate of Bradford High School in Kenosha, WI, received her Nursing Degree from Mount Sinai Hospital in Milwaukee, WI and a Masters Degree in Nursing Administration from Marquette University and worked for many years for Kenosha Memorial Hospital in Kenosha, WI. She also studied at Columbia Bible College in Columbia, SC for two years and had been the Administrator for Globe Span Ministries for 43 years. Carol was predeceased by her parents, Gilbert L. and Juanita (Atkins) Howe and by a brother, Dr. Roy Howe. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Pastor Douglas E. Whiteside; a son, Douglas E. Whiteside, Jr. of Pemberton; a daughter, Lynn Rae Thibodeau and husband Mark of St. Augustine, FL; a brother, Rev. Joe Howe of Lake Zurich, IL; a sister, Joy Baxter of Hot Springs, SD and two grandchildren, Abby and Luke Thibodeau. Funeral services for Carol will be held on Saturday, August 18 at 2:00 PM at the Ambassador Baptist Church, 527 Wrightstown-Sykesville Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562 with her husband Pastor Douglas Whiteside officiating. Calling hours will be on Saturday from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM at the church. Burial will be in the Jacobstown Cemetery on Schoolhouse Road in Jacobstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carol’s memory may be made to Globe Span Ministries, Inc., P. O. Box 276, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
