Obituary of Margaret Craig Rush

On 8/24/12 Margaret Mary Craig Rush of Cream Ridge, NJ passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her devoted family, Born in Roscommon Ireland in 1921, she immigrated to America in 1939. She worked for Bendix Aviation during World War II. While walking on the boardwalk in Belmar NJ, she was introduced to James A. Rush, a young sailor who was visiting his family on leave. They were married in 1946, and devoted the next 64 years nurturing their four children and five grandchildren. Margaret was a devout Catholic and a devoted mother and wife, who always opened her heart, home and kitchen to people in need. Predeceased by her husband, James Anthony in 2010, she leaves behind her devoted children: James Craig Rush and his wife Patricia, of Egg Harbor Township, Rosanne Rush Banghart and her husband Bill of Allentown, Kathleen Rush Corbeels and her husband George of Spring Lake Heights, and Patricia Rush Basko and her husband Glenn of Millstone Township, and her grandchildren: Thomas Rush, Jamie Banghart McEnroe and her husband Owen, Craig and Tom Corbeels and Kevin Basko. She also leaves behind her sister, Anne Prendiville, of San Fransisco CA, and sister in law, Barbara Files, of Clearwater Florida. The family extends particular gratitude and love to Julia, Margaret’s’ home health aide and friend who cared for her with unsurpassed devotion and love for the past two years. A receiving of family and friends will be held on Tuesday 8/28/12, from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm at Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street, New Egypt, (www.tilghmanfh.com). Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Wednesday 8/29/12 at The Chapel of The Church of the Assumption, 76 Evergreen Road, New Egypt, NJ 08533. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation be made in Margaret’s name to Vitas Hospice, One Meridian Road, Suite 5, Eatontown, N.J. 07724.
