Charles R. “Chuck” Mitchell, Jr., age 50, of North Hanover Twp. died Sunday, October 7 at home. Born in Trenton, he was a lifetime area resident. Chuck had worked in the maintenance department of the Plumsted Township Schools for 23 years, most recently as supervisor at the New Egypt High School. He was also a former member of the New Egypt Vol. Fire Co. Chuck was predeceased by his father, Charles R. Mitchell, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Barbara (Hartshorn) Zola of Hamilton; three brothers, Brian Mitchell of North Hanover Twp., Robert Zola of Trenton and Timothy Zola of Hamilton; two sisters, Kimberly McTamney of Yardville and Tracy Stranko of Bordentown; an aunt, Ellen Schoenberg of Allentown and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services for Chuck will be held on Saturday, October 13 at 11:00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com) with burial to follow in North Crosswicks Cemetery in Crosswicks. Calling hours will be on Friday evening, October 12 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
