Obituary of Anneliese Clayton
Please share a memory of Anneliese to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Anneliese Clayton, age 74, of Wrightstown, N.J. departed this life on Oct. 17, 2012 to be with her previously deceased husband Lovenhart Clayton; sons Harold (Pete) Clayton, and Michael Ray Clayton. Daughter of the late August Wilhelm and Berta Wesemeyer, Anneliese is survived by her sons Charles Clayton, and Fred Wesemeyer both of Wrightstown; sister Gertrut Przenioslo and her husband Joseph of Germany; special friend Felice Astor-Tomasone; Grandchildren Joshua Lee Clayton, Dakota Clayton, Samantha Clayton, Linda, Freddy, and Tina Wesemeyer; Great-grandchildren Noah Michael Love Clayton, Caleb, and Keria along with other family members living in Germany.
Anneliese was born in Mannheim, Germany and moved to America permanently in 1974. She was married to her beloved husband Lovenhart for 47 years before his departure in 2009. She was a caring and loving woman who would help in any way if she could. During her journey Anneliese donated a part of herself to give the precious gift of life to a distressed stranger so he could enjoy a longer life. She worked tirelessly as a cashier and in her cleaning business before retiring in 2001. Anneliese enjoyed cooking and baking cakes for family and friends, and in her free time she liked to do crossword puzzles and play cards. She enjoyed doing yard work and nurturing her numerous house plants. Ann especially liked to go out for dinner or attend bingo nights, and she loved playing slot machines at the casinos. Ann also enjoyed watching oldies movies, and favored the Sixers basketball team. Her love and guidance defined her essence and she will be profoundly missed.
A memorial service for Anneliese will be held on Saturday, October 27 at 1:00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with calling hours from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM.
Anneliese will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA at a later date where she will join her husband Lovenhart and son Michael.
